Our 10th Annual Investing in African Mining seminar in Toronto seminar takes place with the Canada-Southern Africa Chamber of Business 13th Annual Mining Breakfast and is the biggest African mining event in North America. In 2011 the event drew 360 participants and featured 24 presenters comprising mining companies, service providers and African Mining Ministers. In addition to presentation and sponsorship opportunities at the breakfast/seminar we offer turn-key shared booth space at the sold-out PDAC trade show making it an easy and cost-effective way to participate in the biggest mining investment show in the world (27,700 delegates in 2011) with increased networking opportunities.
Focus on West Africa - Toronto, Canada - May 31, 2012
West Africa is a mining hotspot with approximately 150 projects by TSX listed mining companies in the area. Our May 31, 2012 seminar, our third in this series, focusses on West Africa and features updates by mining companies with projects in West Africa, technical presentations on doing business in West Africa's mining industry by expert advisors and service providers and country overviews by West African mining ministers. The seminar is organized in partnership with the Minerals Resources Analysts Group (MRAG) and sponsor SGS.

Our specialized seminars focus on technical topics including Mining Deal Exchange: Mining Financing Opportunities through the TSX Venture CPC Program, Surviving the Global Financial Crisis in the Mining Sector and Risk Mitigation and CSR in Africa and Emerging Markets. Courses include our 3-day MASTERMINING course in Toronto, Vancouver and Sudbury. We also produce non-African focussed seminars including mineMexico and mineSouthAmerica under On the Ground Group.

MineAfrica provides cost-effective marketing and consulting services for private and public sector clients including business development trips and meetings with the Toronto mining and financial communities, customized seminars, assistance with finding financing, technical expertise or joint venture partners and marketing and promotional opportunities through targetted email campaigns, website sponsorship and specialized African focussed mining publications.

Our People
Bruce Shapiro
President
Born and educated in South Africa Bruce immigrated to Canada in 1977. He established A.P.O.C. Inc., a Canadian based business development company specializing in promoting trade and investment between Canada and Southern Africa, in 1991. MineAfrica was a division of A.P.O.C. Inc since 2002, but due to its success and growth it has recently been separately incorporated. In addition to its business development activities, A.P.O.C. Inc. is under contract to provide Executive Director and Management services to the Canada-Southern Africa Chamber of Business. Bruce is frequently invited to speak at international conferences and has an extensive network of contacts worldwide. Additionally, he has taught international trade and finance at various universities in Canada and South Africa.

Wayne Floreani
Vice President
Wayne has over 20 years of international trade and investment promotion experience and expertise, with a particular focus on mining. He worked previously with the South African Department of Trade and Industry in Toronto and the Sudbury Regional Development Corporation. He has organized ministerial visits, trade missions and international trade shows and seminars. He is a Board Member (and past Chairman) of the Canada-Southern Africa Chamber of Business, member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and Past President of the National Federation of Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association.
