Oil and gas investment in Africa is hot so it was only appropriate that temperatures in Toronto soared to 33 degrees Celsius for MineAfrica's first seminar in its newest series - ENERGYAfrica - on June 19, 2012.

The half-day seminar featured updates by companies on their African oil and gas projects and technical presentations on doing business in Africa's oil and industry by expert advisors.

Premier Sponsors were Norton Rose Canada LLP and TMX Group (Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange). Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas Ltd. was a corporate sponsor and Mackie Research Capital Corporation and Pan African Oil Ltd. were presenting sponsors.

39% of the audience were senior representatives from the financial industry (oil and gas analysts, asset and fund managers, investment bankers, brokers, etc) and 22% and were senior industry executives. Service providers and advisors to the industry comprised 30% of the audience.
