MineAfrica was pleased to partner with the Canada-Southern Africa Chamber of Business in its 5th Annual Risk Mitigation & CSR in Africa and Emerging Markets seminar held for the first time in Vancouver on April 28.
Fourteen presenters representing mining companies, CSR experts, associations and NGO's covered a range of topics as varied as the issues surrounding CSR including the legal structure behind CSR, managing community relations through supply chain management, avoiding corruption in international mining projects, guidelines for sustainable community development and CSR as a risk mitigant.
